MLS GO is a grassroots youth soccer initiative created to introduce children aged 4 to 14 to the sport in a fun, inclusive, and skill-building environment. The program connects local soccer clubs with Major League Soccer’s development network, opening doors for young athletes to learn, grow, and succeed on and off the field.
Not at all! Participation in the Ridgewood United MLS GO program is entirely free of charge. Our mission is to make soccer available to every child, which means no registration fees, equipment charges, or hidden costs—just pure access to the game.
Ridgewood United's MLS GO program typically runs one session and one game per week. In addition to regular practices, occasional one-day clinics are organized during the season, offering players extra opportunities to enhance their skills and enjoy the game even more.
MLS GO welcomes boys and girls between the ages of 4 and 14, regardless of their experience level. Whether your child is just beginning or wants to build on existing skills, the program offers an ideal entry into the world of soccer.
MLS GO sessions are conducted at community fields and venues in partnership with Ridgewood United. Once you register, you’ll receive full details on the exact locations and weekly schedule.
To ensure your child is prepared, they should arrive wearing their MLS GO uniform and bring along a pair of cleats if available. It’s important to carry a water bottle to stay hydrated, and shin guards are highly encouraged for added safety. They may also be required to bring their soccer ball.
MLS GO offers an opportunity for young players to build soccer skills, enjoy making new talent players, and grow a network and sportsmanship. MLS GO serves as an entry point to Ridgewood United's players' development pathway.
